Yulia
Berry has earned the Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and the
Bachelor of Music in Flute Instruction with Honors from The
Mussorgsky State School of Music (Saint-Petersburg, Russia)
and the Master of Music in Flute Performance and the Master of Music in
Flute Instruction from The Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory, Russia.
Among her
mentors are Olga S. Chernyadeva, Professor
and
Honored Artist of Russia, Irina P. Pimenova, Honored Artist of
Russia and Vasily Viland, soloist of The Maryinsky Theater
Symphony Orchestra.
She
has attended/participated in numerous festivals and master classes,
including Aurele Nicolet (Switzerland) master classes.
Yulia
Berry's performances in diverse venues and festivals
have included Saint-Petersburg State Academic
Capella, the Glazunov Concert Hall, The Glinka Philharmonic Chamber
Hall, The Sheremetev Palace,The
Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace (Former
home of a major Russian noble family), The House of Composers, The
Rimsky-Korsakov Museum, SKIF - 4, 5, 6 Festivals
(Saint-Petersburg), "Folk-Marathon-2001"
(Petrozavodsk, Russia), «Faces Ethnofestival»
(2001, Finland), The Central House of Artists (Moscow), numerous
openings and other events.
She
extensively toured Russia and Finland with The Vermicelli
Orchestra from 1999 to 2002 and appeared with The
Vermicelli Orchestra in live performances on TV and Radio.
She
has done recording studio work for Russian classical and
pop singers.
Yulia Berry has 18 years
of continuous teaching experience. Her students have been award winners at various music competitions and
won placements in New England Conservatory's Junior Massachusetts Wind
Ensemble and Baroque Ensemble, BYSO Preparatory Winds, Junior
and Senior Districts and Longy School's Ensembles and Orchestras. |
